Term dates
Summer term ends with classes on Tuesday, 10 July.
The last session in Ely will be on Saturday, 14 July to make up for the one missed on Saturday, 23 June.
Autumn term: Thursday, 6 September — Saturday, 8 December
Please note that half term will include two Saturdays, 27 October and 3 November.
Due to our show there will be no classes on Saturday, 13 October.
School production
Our biennial show will be taking place on Saturday, 13 October at Comberton Leisure and on Sunday, 14 October at Haslingfield Pavilion.
Our program will be slightly changed. We will perform character dances from different countries in the first part of the show. Added to the program will be excerpts from Act II of ‘Swan Lake’. We will also perform our version of the ballet ‘The Tales of Beatrix Potter’. A rehearsal for all dancers involved in ‘Swan Lake’ will take place on Saturday, 6 October at the Dance Studio, Paradise Centre, Newnham Street, Ely, 8:40 — 11:20. Haslingfield ballet lessons
Ballet classes at Haslingfield Primary School will continue after the Summer holidays.
My sincere thanks go to all parents who voted in favour of early morning ballet lessons. I am touched and really appreciate the support.
Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Exams
Many thanks to all children for putting in the extra hours of hard work towards the recent ballet exams. I would also like to thank all parents for showing so much commitment.
The results will probably not arrive until the second half of August. I will inform everyone concerned as soon as I get them.
I doubt we will be able to have a ballet exam session before the end of the year. The show will take up too much time.
Fees
Fees for the coming term remain unchanged:
30 and 35 minute lessons: £40.00 per term, £4.50 per lesson
40 and 45 minute lessons: £47.00 per term, £5.00 per lesson
55 minute and one hour lessons: £53.00 per term, £6.00 per lesson
Tap classes: £10.00 per term, £1.00 per lesson
Classes at Haslingfield School: £25.00 per term, £2.50 per lesson
